The state government of Bihar has released a notification for the recruitment of the post of headmaster in senior secondary schools. There are a total of 6421 vacancies released by the state government of Bihar. The last date for the application form submission was the 22nd of April, 2022. Bihar headmaster recruitment application form

To fill in the application form online, the candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

• The application link is available on the official website of BPSC.
• Once you visit the official website of BPSC, you get a link to go to the Recruitment page.
• Here you will be able to check out the various job openings.
• From the job openings page, you will have to go to the Application page. 
• You will then have to fill up the application form and attach the required documents along with it.
• You will then have to pay the application fee and submit it.

Application Fee

• The application fee for candidates belonging to the general category is Rs.750.
• The fee for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, BC, EBC, EWS, PH, and females is Rs.200.

Documents required while filling up the application form

The application will have to be signed by the candidate either in English or in Hindi. The size should not be more than 15kb and the format has to be either JPEG/or JPG.
A passport-size photo of the candidate also needs to be attached and the size should not be more than 25kb.

Eligibility Criteria of BPSC headmaster

Before applying for the post, the candidate should go through the eligibility criteria. Only those candidates who will be eligible will be able to apply for the post of headmaster.

Given below are the eligibility criteria required for the post:

• The candidate should be a citizen of India and a resident of Bihar.

Educational Qualifications

1. The candidates must be post-graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized college.
2. The candidate should have completed a B.Ed/BA. Ed/B.Sc. Ed.
3. Must have qualified for TET that was conducted for the teachers who were appointed on or after 2012.

Required Experience

• Must have an experience of at least 10 years in a state government school under the Panchayati Raj institution or the Municipal body.
• At least 12 years of experience as a secondary teacher in schools that is affiliated with CBSE/ICSE/BSEB.
• 8 years of minimum experience as a senior secondary teacher in a State government school under the Municipal body or the Panchayati Raj institute.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience as a senior secondary teacher in schools that are affiliated with the CBSE/ICSE/BSEB.
• The minimum age limit for the teachers who are working in the schools affiliated with the CBSE/ICSE/BSE is 31 years and the maximum age limit is 47 years.

BPSC Headmaster Vacancy 2022: Examination date

The date for the BPSC headmaster examination is the 31st of May, 2022.

BPSC examination Headmaster, 2022

There is a total of 6421 vacancies for the post of headmaster. Out of these total vacancies, 2372 vacancies are reserved for the female candidates and the rest 4050 vacancies are for the male candidates. These vacancies are also reserved for different caste categories. Out of the total male vacancies, 1668 vacancies are for General category candidates, 450 are for the EWS category candidates and 642 vacancies are for candidates belonging to the SC categories. Apart from this, there are 46 vacancies for the ST category, 729 for the OBC category, and the remaining 513 vacancies for the BC category candidates. Out of the total vacancies for women, there are 903 vacancies for the general category, 189 vacancies for the candidates belonging to the EWS category, 285 vacancies for candidates belonging to the SC category, 20 vacancies for ST category candidates, 426 vacancies for the OBC category candidates and the rest 448 vacancies for the BC category candidates.

BPSC headmaster examination admit card

The admit card will be released on the official website of BPSC any time before the 31st of May, 2022. You must download the admit card if you want to appear for this examination. The Bihar headmaster call letter 2022 will be released in the second week of May 2022. The admit card will be released around the 15th of May, 2022 and the download link will be active then.

Steps to download the BPSC headmaster admit card

• You will first have to visit the official website of BPSC.
• After that, you will have to click on the Headmaster admit card link that is there in the Updates section.
• After that, you will have to enter the Registration number along with the password.
• To view the admit card, you will have to click on the Submit button.
• Take a print of the admit card and check out the examination centre written on it.

BPSC head teacher selection procedure

The selection procedure is a four-stage process. To receive an appointment letter, the candidate has to succeed in all the stages. These four stages include merit list, written test, document verification, and merit cum choice.

Written test

The candidate will have to first appear for the BPSC headmaster recruitment written examination. There will be a total of 150 objective types of multiple-choice questions. The candidate has to complete this in 2 hours. For each correct answer, they will receive 1 mark and for each wrong answer, 0.25 will be deducted. There will be 75 questions in the General category, 75 questions on General studies, and 75 questions on the D.EI.d course. The candidates will be given an OMR sheet where they will have to mark the answers for each question.

Merit List

Based on the marks that the candidate gets in the written test of the BPSC headmaster examination, a merit list will be published. The candidates who belong to the General category will have to score at least 40% to get their names on the merit list. Similarly, the candidates belonging to the OBC category need to get 34%, the physically handicapped and the female candidates have to get 32% marks.

Document Verification

The next step will be document verification. The BPSC authorities will scrutinize all the documents that have been submitted by the candidates. They will check the authenticity and the validity of the documents that have been submitted by the candidate with the application form. Once the verification is completed, a final merit list will be published.

Merit cum choice posting

The appointed candidates will be finally allotted their respective schools/divisions based on their merit and also their choice. The number of vacancies in each district will play an important role in the process of allotment.

Bihar headmaster salary, 2022

The individual who will be selected for the position of headmaster will get a salary of Rs.35000 monthly. For recruitment in this position, the candidate will have to clear the written test and also the interview.
