- There is good news for the farmers of Bhagalpur’s five Farmer Producer Organizations who got export licenses from the Central Government. Its positive effect is visible. With the FPO, the demand for Bhagalpur products started increasing in foreign countries. Not only this, where five metric tonnes of sheared rice and bangles have been demanded from Malaysia, the London investors are making an advance demand for keeping five metric tonnes of Zardalu mangoes ready. In such a situation, the products of Bhagalpur started getting into the global market.
- Investors from abroad first approached Agro Point Krishak Producer Company Limited, an FPO-Farmer Producer Organization under Agriculture Department. The team leader of this FPO, Rakesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Pirpainti, said that he did his MBA from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. Its demand is high in the country and abroad.
Visible positive results
- Vikas Kumar, assistant director of the Horticulture Department, said that positive results started showing only after the FPO got the export license.
- Information was received from Pirpainti's FPO, which is very good news. There was only a need to get the market, which is now available after getting the export license. Apart from this, the cultivation of strawberries, mushrooms, dragon fruit, apple, zucchini, foreign papaya, etc. has started increasing in Bhagalpur.
- On getting to the global market, if the products here are exported, then the farmers will get the desired benefits.
